At this time, Bryant’s Towing & Automotive remains open as an essential business providing emergency roadside assistance, towing and mechanical services to Lake City and Columbia County. We are continuing to monitor the situation around COVID-19 and are taking the necessary precautions to protect both our clients and our technicians.
Social Distancing & Sanitation for Towing
Social distancing will be difficult in the case of an emergency breakdown. There will be times where our technicians will have to ride next to our clients to transport them to safety. That being said, we are requiring that our clients provide alternative transportation when at all possible, and limit the amount of time spent riding in the tow trucks during this time of need. We also require that ALL clients showing any symptoms of COVID-19 MUST provide alternative means of transportation.
All of our trucks have been outfitted with sanitation wipes and gloves so that our drivers can wipe down the seats, door handles and other contact areas between clients as well as contact areas before and after entering a client’s vehicle. Additionally, our trucks will go through a deep cleaning with a disinfectant spray, and all contact areas for the client and driver will be wiped down with hydrogen peroxide at the start of each day. Our drivers will be monitored for symptoms and will be asked to not come into work if they are feeling ill.

To best prevent the spread of COVID-19, AAA is recommending that they are suspending members riding in our tow trucks.

In addition to our towing services, we will be doing our part to keep our technicians and clients safe during an automotive repair. Our daily cleaning routine will include increased frequency of wiping down all client and technician break areas. Touchpoints in our client’s vehicles will be disinfected before and after service. We ask that all clients dispose of all trash (including tissues), and remove clothing items from the driver area of their vehicles.

Aahhh yes! Protect our employees and customers from Covid. We don’t allow customers in the truck and our drivers will wear a face mask when approaching the customer. Sanitization is so important.
